Disappearance of newborn in Nuevo León

Last Wednesday, the 12th, the Attorney General's Office of Nuevo León activated the Amber Alert following the alleged disappearance of a newborn in the Concordia neighborhood. According to reports, two people entered Silvia Amairani's home to induce her labor and take the baby.

However, the institution canceled the alert hours later, explaining that the medical tests conducted showed no evidence that Silvia, 19 years old, was pregnant. The Attorney General's Office stated: 'there is no evidence of a pregnancy of the person identified as Silvia.'

The case gained relevance on social media after a video circulated in which Silvia recounts the presence of the supposed kidnappers and an image of her baby shower in December.

Psychological pregnancy is a phenomenon where pregnancy symptoms occur without the actual existence of a baby. It manifests with changes in the menstrual cycle and an increased abdomen due to psychological and physiological factors. This usually occurs due to an intense desire in women to be mothers, often related to infertility issues or psychological disorders.

In such situations, authorities recommend that women seek medical attention at health institutions to confirm the existence of a pregnancy through ultrasounds and receive necessary care if they are pregnant.
